The Professional Development Institute provides and promotes professional development activities for UA-PTC faculty and staff. These events are advertised through campus e-mail, Upcoming Professional Development, and the Professional Development Institute calendar (Outlook). Events are offered in a variety of formats. The Professional Development Institute is located in IT206, the Center for Teaching Excellence, on the main campus. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Jayne provides leadership, guidance, and direction for professional development activities. She develops and conducts training, recruits presenters, identifies training needs, and coordinates training events. Contact Jayne if you need specific training for yourself or your staff or if you are interested in presenting a workshop or session.

Mary provides coordination for general professional development, including advertising training events, scheduling locations, and collecting evaluation data. Contact Mary with questions regarding scheduled training, need to schedule some training, need a transcript of your completed training, or if you need a report.



The mission of the Professional Development Institute (PDI) is to improve student achievement through the professional growth of University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College employees via high-quality, timely, and cost-effective professional development opportunities that continue to support the institution’s strategic goals. PDI delivers face-to-face and online programs facilitated by internal and external partners and seeks continual feedback from subject matter experts, the advisory board, and other stakeholders.
