UA-PTC student

UA-PTC Foundation Scholarship Opportunities

All currently enrolled UA-PTC students are now eligible to apply for most scholarships; there are still a few that are only available to second year students. All applications require a 300 - word essay; most now require a letter of recommendation from a UA-PTC instructor. First semester students must provide proof of current grades (specific criteria are listed on the individual applications). The fall application deadline is November 1, 2018. There is a new application this semester that includes a checklist detailing the eligibility requirements for each individual scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Please read the application carefully! It is the student’s sole responsibility to insure all eligibility requirements are met and the application package is complete.

To help students with the application process, The UA-PTC Foundation along with the STEM Success program will hold a Scholarship Expedition on both campuses this fall:

  • Little Rock-South Crain Community Room – Tuesday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Main Campus CHARTS lobby – Wednesday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

There will be faculty and staff members present to assist students with the scholarship process including essay and interviewing tips as well as representatives from a number of student support organizations.

Important Information:

  • Once the application deadline passes, students will be notified via UA-PTC email if they have been selected to interview for the scholarship. Interviews are usually two weeks after the application deadline and are mandatory. Unfortunately, we are not able to award a scholarship to everyone that applies.
  • Students awarded scholarships must send a letter of appreciation to the foundation office (a template will be provided) before any funds will be disbursed.
  • Unless otherwise noted, the minimum GPA is usually 2.0.
  • Scholarships are for the semester following the interviews. Exceptions are sometimes made so a student can use their money for a summer class.
