UA-PTC Art Night and student performance of “Antigone Now” set for April 9
Experience a bold reimagining of a timeless story as UA-PTC drama student performers present Antigone Now by Melissa Cooper. A modern adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone, the production explores themes of resistance, justice, and the courage of one’s convictions.
The performance is part of Art Night, and evening celebrating the creativity of UA-PTC students.
The Fine Arts Department will host two free performances Thursday, April 9:
- Preview: 2 p.m. (open to faculty and students)
- Main Performance: 6 p.m.
Admission is free, and the public is invited to support student creators for an evening of storytelling and community.
ART NIGHT
Join us for Art Night on April 9 from 5–8 PM, in the CHARTS Theater and Lobby! It’s a vibrant celebration featuring award-winning student talent. The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. with the Student Art Competitive opening reception in the Windgate Gallery and a curated Art Market for handcrafted purchases, followed by the featured Antigone Now performance at 6 p.m., and Spring choir showcases.
