Capps Named Academic All-Star at UA - Pulaski Tech

University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College has selected Patience Capps of Little Rock, Arkansas as the recipient of the 2018 Academic All-Star Scholarship. Capps will be recognized at the Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) awards brunch on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Marriott in Little Rock.
Patience is the president of UA - Pulaski Tech’s Student Government Association, member of Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor society, ACC Student Leadership participant, volunteers at the Little Rock Animal Village and maintains a 4.0 GPA while pursuing an Associate of Science in Education degree. After completing her degree at UA-PTC, she plans to obtain her Bachelor and Master of Science in Education, in order to teach in the K-6 public school setting.
The Academic All-Star Scholarship is designed to award excellence in academics and leadership at the community college level. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.25 and possess a minimum of 12 credit hours in pursuit of an associate degree. Each of the twenty-two community colleges in Arkansas grants one All-Star Scholarship to one student per year.
