
Veterans Upward Bound to host recruiting event

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) at UA – Pulaski Tech will host a luncheon April 11 to publicize the program and the benefits it offers to area veterans. The event will take place 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Campus Center Grand Hall on UA-PTC Main Campus.
VUB is a precollege service that is free to eligible veterans and service members. VUB offers free academic advising, academic refresher courses, placement testing, personal tutoring, cultural events, and much more. Participants have recently attended Murray’s Dinner Playhouse and toured the Arkansas State Capitol, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame, and the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Historical Museum.
Active participants are eligible to receive a stipend of $40 a month.
