Aerospace Technology Center unveils renovated plane
July 24, 2017
Instructors at UA - Pulaski Tech’s Aerospace Technology Center hosted an unveiling ceremony Friday morning for a renovated 1965 Cessna aircraft, which is used as a training aid for students to disassemble, reassemble and make run.
“We’ve had it for many years but it was in pretty bad shape and needed to be fixed up to make it a better training aid for the students,” said Vince Gemmiti, Director of Aerospace Technology and one of the aerospace instructor.
Instructor Robin Macagni has repaired and repainted the plane.
The Aerospace Technology Center, located next to the North Little Rock Airport, is an FAA-certified school that trains aircraft maintenance technicians. Students earn their Airframe and Powerplant certificates, which allows them to work on any U.S. registered aircraft anywhere in the world.
