Alumni Spotlight: Leah Gele
July 17, 2017
UA-PTC is where Leah Gele discovered her love of theater lights. She just prefers to operate the spotlight rather than be in it. She now attends UA-Little Rock where she is working on a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts with an emphasis in technical theater. One day she wants to be a professional lighting designer, and she is well on her way. She volunteers and works at area theaters and most recently was the lighting and sound technician for The Weekend Theater’s production of Annie.
While at UA-PTC, Leah was a part of the technical crew for A Midsummer Night's Dream – the first theater production in UA-PTC’s Center for Humanities and Arts.
“My time at UA-PTC taught me so much,” Leah said. “It’s where I found my passion and discovered what I want to do for a career.”
