Ballet Arkansas’ 2018/19 season kicks off with a brand new Dracula at UA – Pulaski Technical Center’s Center for Humanities and Arts (CHARTS) on October 19–21. Based on Bram Stoker's telling, Dracula is a full-length story ballet that features breathtaking original choreography by Artistic Director, Michael Fothergill. Combining the beauty of visual art and mixed multimedia, Dracula tells the story of love and loss, and is appropriate for all ages. Join us for four performances: Friday, October 19, 7 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2 p.m./7 p.m., and Sunday, October 21, 2 p.m. Tickets are ($30-35) for individual tickets, ($25) Senior Citizen, ($20) for Student and ($15) for 12 and under. Fire and Rain: February 14–17

The second of our annual Winter productions, Fire and Rain is the perfect storm! Join Ballet Arkansas at the CHARTS Theater at UA Pulaski Tech on February 14–17th and experience something for every interest. This program combines the drama and precision of classical ballet with the power and athleticism of contemporary dance. Enjoy the romantic Romeo and Juliet Balcony Scene, a Tribute to the music of James Taylor choreographed by Artistic Director Michael Fothergill, and a fiery Don Quixote suite! Mary Poppins

Ballet Arkansas’ wildly popular Children’s Series returns for the second year. On February 17, 2019 at 12 p.m., for one performance only, Ballet Arkansas presents a highly interactive Mary Poppins at the UA Pulaski Tech CHARTS Theater. Children are invited on stage to participate in songs and dances with none other than Mary Poppins herself! Featuring video projection and 360 sound, young audiences will leave mesmerized by this incredible performance. Forte

Forte: May 3–5

To conclude the season, our wildly popular collaboration with internationally acclaimed musician Dr. Drew Mays returns for a second year. Ballet Arkansas in Concert Part II, “Forte” hits the stage at UA – Pulaski Technical College’s Center for Humanities and Arts on May 3 – 5th for four performances. Presented by the Stella Boyle Smith Trust, Forte is a dynamic mixed repertory program featuring some of the most prolific classical and contemporary works in the dance field. Audience members will be mesmerized by a contemporary work by world renowned choreographer Ma Cong, Swan Lake Suite, George Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, and a World Premiere work by Artistic Director, Michael Fothergill. Dr. Drew Mays will accompany the Swan Lake Suite and Michael Fortherill’s new creation. The Ugly Duckling

The Ugly Duckling: May 5, 12 p.m.

Ballet Arkansas’ wildly popular Children’s Series returns for the second year. The final production of the 2018/19 Children’s Series, The Ugly Duckling on May 5, 2019 at 12 p.m., is a timeless tale that teaches children to accept others along with their differences. Featuring laugh out loud comedy, this interactive production features video projection and 360 sound at the beautiful UA Pulaski Tech Center for Humanities and Arts.
