ASSESS FEST! Mini-conference

Purpose: A forum in which faculty and staff may share their adventures in assessment, and dialog about student learning data, analysis, and results. The mini-conference will feature an overview of the various types of assessment taking place across the College, a guest speaker discussing an aspect of student learning assessment, and poster sessions developed by UA-PTC faculty and staff showcasing the student learning assessment work being accomplished here at University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College. Also, the SLA Faculty-Staff APEX Awards will be presented followed by some fabulous door prizes!

APEX stands for Assessment Practitioner Extraordinaire. These awards are bestowed on two individual faculty/staff members and two faculty/staff teams who have demonstrated to their colleagues their dedication, knowledge and expertise in student learning assessment and its processes.

Date: During Professional Development Week in August

Location: Campus Center Grand Hall

Times: Offered twice on the same day at 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and repeated from 1 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

ASSESS FEST! Poster Session

The purpose of the ASSESS FEST! Mini-conference Poster Session is to provide a more intimate forum for a dialog about student learning assessment, and to facilitate informal discussions among faculty and staff around various aspects of student learning assessment.
