There are currently 3.2 billion people using social media around the world and the number is growing. As consumers increasingly spend time on social media platforms, it has become more useful than ever to know how to navigate and communicate through social media. In this course you will learn how to create a social media strategy that achieves your goals. You will learn about different platforms, the array of interactions open to you, and get hands-on experience creating a paid Facebook campaign.

This course is required to complete the Facebook Digital Marketing Certificate.

Course-Level Student Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course are/can:

  • Understand the role of social media in a marketing campaign and differences in voice and audience across various social media channels.
  • Recognize best practices and understand the life-cycle of a social media campaign.
  • Calculate bids and understand the costs that come with social media advertising.
  • Demonstrate the ability to run a social media campaign on Facebook and the key metrics for optimization.
