Cosmetology Technical Certificate Program of Study is designed to be completed in three semesters with entry points at the beginning of any Fall or Spring semester. Classes in this program are offered at the Little Rock-South site, and are held five days per week, 3-9 p.m. The program also uses an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology to sit for the state licensure exam. Summer sessions are not requirement. Students must enroll for all courses each semester.
This three-semester program is designed to provide cosmetology education to meet the requirements of government agencies and the skills standards set forth for entry-level cosmetologists. This course of study offers instruction in theory and lab basic services and theories and principles of cosmetology arts and sciences. Students may sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology exam for licensure after completing 1500 clock hours of study.
