Community Education

The Community and Continuing Education program provides individuals of all ages in central Arkansas opportunities for personal and professional development through short, non-credit classes, such as:

  • Culinary arts
  • Personal enrichment
  • Healthy living
  • Technology
  • Life skills

Register for Classes: Contact Kristin Howell at (501) 907-6670 ext. 3407 or e-mail [email protected]. When contacting us to register, please state the class you are registering for, name of registrant(s), e-mail address and phone number. Participants must be 18 years or older to register. However, kids between the ages of 13-17 may register but must be accompanied by an adult that is registered for the class unless noted.

Payment: Currently, our registration system for receiving payments is under construction. If your paying with a credit card, please call (501) 907-6670 ext. 3407 during our regular business hours from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or you can send a check payable to "UA - Pulaski Technical College Business and Industry Center" at the following address: Kristin Howell, UA-PTC Business and Industry Center, 3303 E Roosevelt Road, Little Rock, AR 72206.

Gift Certificates: If you are interested in purchasing gift certificates for any of our classes, please contact Kristin Howell at [email protected].

Course Suggestions: The Community Education Program is seeking suggestions for classes to offer. If you have an idea for a Community Education class, we’d like to hear from you. Or, if you have skills and talents you would like to share with others and are interested in teaching a class, please contact Kristin Howell at [email protected].

Class Refund Policy: At times, undue circumstances or insufficient enrollment may cause the Continuing Education Department to cancel classes. If such cancellations occur, you will be notified prior to the class and full refunds will be issued. No refunds will be given if cancellations are made by the student less than 5 business days in advance of class start date (7 business days is required for all culinary cancellations).
