University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College’s Community Education Program offers a variety of hands-on, non-credit Life and Leisure classes that are open to the public year around. Community Education Policies

Registration Requirements: Registration is required for all Community Education classes. To begin registration please click on the class title. To register by phone, please call Kristin Howell at (501) 907-6670 ext. 3407

Cancellation Policy: 100% refund if canceled at least 7 days before the class date. Cancellations occurring within 7 days of the class date will only receive a refund only if the class spot can be sold.

Community Education Class Enrollment Minimum Policy: In order to use teaching resources to their fullest, a Class Enrollment Minimum Policy is used to ensure that courses offered have a minimum number of enrolled students. Such a policy allows students to engage with a sufficient number of other learners in the classroom and also efficiently uses instructor time, thus facilitating the research and service portions of instructor obligations. In the event that a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, all registrants will receive a full refund.

UA-PTC Teen College: Odyssey League

An immersive themed role-playing game experience for ages 10-12 who love creating characters, stories, and connecting with other RPG enthusiasts. RPGs are more popular than ever, with shows like Stranger Things and Critical Role bringing new players to the table. Odyssey League! is the perfect introduction to the world of fun, creativity, and community that makes tabletop RPGs so compelling.

The workshop includes character development art, including a lesson in painting their own minis, and an adventure that will be totally unique, limited only by the players own imaginations. All supplies provided; beginners are encouraged to join.

Stained Glass: A Twist on Mosaics

Learn how to make a beautiful piece of art! In this class students will create a fish or a bird glass picture by learning how to nip glass in order to make mosaics. Each student will leave with a custom 8”x 8” framed, mosaic picture.

Tidy Life: Learn to Tidy Your Mind, Body, and Space

Join us for an evening with the Tidy Life staff and learn to tidy your mind, body, and space!

Mind: Certified Yoga Instructor, Wendy Donley leads a guided yoga flow, demonstrating relaxation techniques that integrate mind, body, and breath.

Body: Registered Dietitian, Emily Youngblood gives clinically proven nutritional advice and practical tips that make preparing meals for work and home easier.

Space: Certified KonMari Consultant, Sue Fehlberg shares a simple, joy-filled method for decluttering and organizing, creating a peaceful environment in both home and office.

Adventure Quest: Kid Fun and Fitness

Who doesn’t love adventure? In this FREE class, we will travel back in time to the days of heroes and castles to find the source of evil and save the land. Kids will have a blast working together to solve problems, build a castle, and then storm the gates. This is an introduction to the series of kid game and learning programs held at Unity Martial arts for over ten years. Parents love how these themed games build social skills and confidence. Kids love it because it engages their bodies and their creativity.

Connecting with Nature: Photography

Get up close with nature and the landscape using just the phone in your pocket. This is the class for you, whether your interest is artistic or simply documenting your experience in nature. Brad Sims, local nature photographer, joins ecologist Dr. Lauster to teach you techniques for better photographs and presentation. Learn how to compose, adjust focus, lighting and color, even on your phone camera. You are welcome to bring more advanced cameras as well. We will spend time outdoors, with panoramas big and small. Create images and video that you will want to come back to and share.
