University of Arkansas - Pulaski Tech and Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) have built strong partnerships to offer students unique and fulfilling education experiences in health care.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Occupational therapy assistants make a difference in people's lives by helping them be as independent as possible when physical, psychological, or social challenges prevent them from doing everyday things that give their lives meaning. They work with clients from newborn to older adults in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and nursing homes.
University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College is partnered with Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) to offer an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. It is a two-year, full-time program taught at BHCLR. Admission is competitive and interview-based through BHCLR. Eighteen students are selected annually. Coursework follows the UA-PTC academic calendar and is composed of classroom and clinical experiences. A total of 70 hours are required for this degree.
Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health
Students graduating from one of three qualified BHCLR technical certificate programs can complete an additional 19 hours of general education coursework with UA-PTC to earn an AAS in Allied Health. These programs are:
Students can have the general education courses completed at any time before or after the program. If transferring credit to UA-PTC, students must meet the 15 credit hour residency requirement to be awarded a degree, so you may have to register for elective credit.

BHCLR – School of Nursing and School of Practical Nursing
In addition to offering this degree completer, UA-PTC offers classes on the BHCLR campus for nursing students who are enrolled there. Day, evening, and online/hybrid sections are available.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
The School of Occupational Therapy Assistant is a unique partnership between UA-PTC and BHCLR. Admissions, coursework, and clinical experiences are completed through BHCLR. BHCLR Campus Classes
Students pursuing a degree in health care may enroll in UA-PTC courses held at the BHCLR campus through the Pre-Health Care Studies program.
Nursing students enrolled at BHCLR are not eligible for financial aid from UA-PTC. Payment for UA-PTC tuition/fees will be due before the start of the semester. Nelnet payment plan is available. Students receiving financial aid from BHCLR may receive a disbursement check from BHCLR which will serve as a reimbursement for UA-PTC expenses.
