    Dr. Vondra Armstrong is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. She has established her role as an educator while fulfilling her purpose as a full-time associate teaching professor of business at UA - Pulaski Tech. She received a doctoral degree in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a concentration in Faculty Development. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, TN.

    Dr. Armstrong boasts of seasoning her life with experiences that accompanied career enrichment as she held positions as an Insurance Underwriter, Risk Management Analyst, Risk Manager, Program Manager and Finance Manager, Accounting Clerk and Bank teller. All of these endeavors preceded her current position as an educator. She is humbled to have received the Susan K. Reid teaching excellence award from UA-PTC and the Outstanding Faculty Award from AATYC.

    Dr. Armstrong is a facilitator with the Arkansas Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative and serves as advisor of UA-PTC’s Virtual Financial Club, a student organization that aims to promote, educate, and appreciate all avenues of business and finance. She has served on the Arkansas Federal Credit Union Supervisory Committee, past President for the Arkansas Council for Women in Higher Education (ACWHE) and UA-PTC chapter of the Arkansas Association of Women in Two-Year Colleges (AAWTYC). She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a public service organization where she has served as Chaplain, Financial Secretary, and Assistant Treasurer.

    Dr. Armstrong's desire is to show students that they can use their business knowledge to complement and enrich other aspects of their day-to-day life.
