International Student Advising Appointment

UA-PTC Main Campus buildingInternational students at UA-PTC are required to meet with the International Student Advisor every semester before you register for your classes. You will discuss many things at your advising appointment including the items listed below, but bring any questions you might have and the advisor will be happy to work with you.

  • Discuss your chosen degree plan and how that meets your career goals.
  • Develop a plan to help you achieve your education goals in the U.S.
  • Understand the policies and procedures of the college.
  • Understand what resources are available to you for your success at UA-PTC.

New International Students to UA-PTC are required to submit additional documents to the Director of Admissions before their advising appointment. Contact the Director of Admissions prior to your advising appointment to arrange a time to submit these final documents.

New F-1 Students will need to bring the following documents to their advising appointment:

  • A copy of current INS Documents:
    • The copy of student’s most current I-20. May not be expired.
    • I-94 Card. A copy will be kept for documentation for student’s record. If the student’s I-94 is digital they will need to print a copy.
    • A copy of the student’s visa
  • Proof of having received 2 MMR immunizations.
    • This is a combined Measles, Mumps, Rubella shot that is required for enrollment.
  • Proof of a Tuberculosis screening with the past six months as required by the State of Arkansas.
  • Proof of Health Insurance Coverage (point to references page, see text field below) in the U.S.
